The PERRIN Front Mount Intercooler (FMIC) kit for the 2015–2021 STI is designed to handle high horsepower levels while providing consistent and efficient cooling. Ideal for modified engines and high-boost applications, this kit replaces the factory top-mount intercooler with a high-capacity front-mounted unit.
Superior Cooling
The large core design drastically reduces intake air temperatures, increasing horsepower and improving engine reliability under load. This FMIC setup is perfect for vehicles running upgraded turbos, aggressive tunes, or track use.
Large Core
Core dimensions: 28" x 9.25" x 3.5"
Offers massive surface area and volume for maximum heat dissipation and airflow. This allows for cooler, denser air to enter the engine, improving combustion and efficiency.
Boost Ready
Capable of supporting over 1000 horsepower, the intercooler core and piping are designed to handle extreme boost levels without ballooning or breaking.
Custom Bumper Beam
Includes a specially designed bumper beam that maintains structural integrity while allowing clearance for the large core. Offers proper support and alignment with the factory bumper cover.
Piping and Finish Options
Mandrel-bent aluminum piping ensures smooth airflow and reduces pressure drop. Available in black or red wrinkle powder coat finishes to match your engine bay aesthetics.
Blow-Off Valve Flange
Comes with a pre-welded flange compatible with the factory bypass valve and many aftermarket blow-off valves. No extra adapters required.
Tuned for Performance
This FMIC kit is engineered for optimal airflow and pressure balance, helping reduce turbo lag and improve throttle response. A custom tune is recommended after installation for best results.
