The MMX Performance MINI F5X Short Shift Kit is a complete OE-replacement gearshift assembly that transforms the feel of every gear change in your manual MINI. Engineered specifically for the F54 / F55 / F56 platform, the kit pairs a precision-machined replacement shift shaft with a detailed billet gear knob and a new leather gaiter, all of which install directly into the factory shifter location with zero trimming, drilling, or cutting required.
The headline number is a 33% reduction in shifter throw. In real-world driving, that translates to noticeably crisper, more deliberate gear changes, less hand travel during quick shifts, and a tighter, more mechanical feel through the lever, the kind of shift action the MINI has always deserved given how communicative the rest of the chassis is. The billet construction also adds a sense of solidity to the lever that the OE plastic-bodied shifter simply doesn't have.
The billet surround is finished in either Titanium or Black anodizing, and the leather gaiter is offered in three stitch / label color combinations (red, grey, or black) so you can match the kit to your interior. Because the kit is a direct OE replacement, installation is straightforward and fully reversible.

Returns may be accepted within 14 days of purchase pending Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). No returns or cancellations on special order items. All returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee, no exceptions.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Item must be able to be resold as new.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Hazardous materials, fluids, greases, chemicals, and clothing are not able to return.
Free shipping is available within the lower 48 states for most orders totaling $199 or more. A free shipping option will be available during checkout. This offer is for delivery address in the continental United States and excludes shipments going to Alaska, Hawaii, Military Boxes, and items that require freight shipping.
