The MMX F5X MINI Cooper S / JCW Air Intake Kit is a direct bolt-on cold air induction system engineered for the MINI F55, F56, and F57 platform. It replaces the restrictive OEM airbox with a high-flow cone filter, a precision heat shield, and full integration with the factory cold air feed, delivering improved airflow, cooler intake temperatures, and a more responsive turbocharger.
The system is built around a precision-formed heat shield that creates a thermal barrier between the high-flow cone filter and the heat-soaked engine bay, keeping intake air dense and consistent. The factory cold air feed is rerouted cleanly around the cone filter, ensuring the filter draws from outside the engine bay rather than from radiator-heated air. All factory mounting points are reused with the original rubber grommets, no cutting, no permanent modifications, no adapter brackets required. Compatibility with all MAF sensor variants is engineered in from the start, so the kit drops into Cooper, Cooper S, and JCW MINIs without sensor adaptation.
On the road, the result is sharper throttle response, faster turbo spool, and a noticeably more aggressive induction soundtrack, particularly during boost. Tuned MINIs benefit even further, as the OEM airbox becomes a real airflow restriction once additional power is added. Stock or modified, the MMX kit removes the bottleneck.
For the maximum effect, pair the intake with the MMX Resonator Delete Pipe and the MMX Silicone Intake Hose for a complete induction-tract upgrade.
