The MMX Performance MINI F-Chassis Intake Resonator Delete is an essential bolt-on upgrade for any F-chassis MINI Cooper S or JCW driver. By replacing the restrictive factory resonator and plastic bellows with a smooth, larger-diameter mandrel-bent aluminum pipe, the kit eliminates a major airflow bottleneck between the airbox and the turbo, unlocking sharper boost response, a small but measurable power gain, and the genuine turbo soundtrack the OEM design was specifically engineered to mute.
The factory part exists for one reason: to dampen engine-bay acoustics. To do that, it routes intake air through a restrictive resonator and a turbulent plastic bellows section, introducing a measurable pressure drop right where the engine needs clean, unrestricted airflow. Removing it improves throttle response and lets the turbo do its job without fighting the intake tract.
The MMX delete pipe is built from smooth-bore mandrel-bent aluminum with all factory take-offs preserved through precision-machined billet fittings, so no other modifications are required. Every assembly is TIG-welded for strength and finished in a durable wrinkle powder coat with a contrasting laser-etched MMX logo for a clean, premium look in the engine bay.
Installation is straightforward with hand tools, fully reversible, and uses the factory connection points. For F-chassis MINI owners running the standard airbox or any aftermarket intake, this is one of the highest-value airflow upgrades available for the platform.
