The Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for the Honda Civic FL5 Type R has been engineered to deliver a measurable performance increase while preserving the thermal efficiency and drivability expected from a fully sealed intake design. Purpose-built for Honda’s latest-generation Type R, this system builds upon Eventuri’s proven FK8 architecture while taking full advantage of the increased packaging space available within the FL5 engine bay.
Positioned directly behind the radiator, the factory intake location is highly susceptible to heat soak. Elevated inlet temperatures reduce air density and negatively impact turbocharger efficiency. Eventuri addresses this challenge with a sealed prepreg carbon fiber airbox that shields the filter from engine bay heat, ensuring the turbo receives a consistent supply of cooler, denser air for optimized combustion and power delivery.
A major restriction in the OEM system comes from the flexible intake hose, which can introduce turbulence and disrupt airflow under load. Eventuri replaces this with a smooth, continuous carbon fiber flow path designed to reduce drag and improve volumetric efficiency. To properly accommodate engine movement without compromising the thermal seal, the inlet tube is engineered to articulate within the airbox itself, maintaining uninterrupted airflow across varying driving conditions.
At the core of the system is Eventuri’s patented Venturi housing, which promotes laminar airflow as air transitions toward the turbo inlet. Paired with a custom high-flow dry filter, ISO-tested for filtration performance, the intake provides both increased flow capacity and long-term engine protection.
The result is a visually striking and highly engineered intake system capable of delivering approximately 14 horsepower and 15 ft-lb of torque, along with sharper throttle response and a more pronounced induction sound. Constructed from prepreg carbon fiber and finished to Eventuri’s exacting standards, this intake provides both functional performance gains and a premium engine bay upgrade worthy of the FL5 platform.

Returns may be accepted within 14 days of purchase pending Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). No returns or cancellations on special order items. All returns will be charged a 20% restocking fee, no exceptions.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging. Item must be able to be resold as new.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Hazardous materials, fluids, greases, chemicals, and clothing are not able to return.
Free shipping is available within the lower 48 states for most orders totaling $199 or more. A free shipping option will be available during checkout. This offer is for delivery address in the continental United States and excludes shipments going to Alaska, Hawaii, Military Boxes, and items that require freight shipping.
