The Eventuri Black Carbon Intake System for the BMW F97 X3M and F98 X4M was developed with a focused engineering philosophy: refine and enhance the strengths of the factory intake rather than completely redesign a system that already benefits from a relatively direct airflow path. While the OEM airboxes perform well within the packaging constraints of BMW’s S58-powered SAV platform, Eventuri identified key opportunities to reduce restriction, improve thermal efficiency, and elevate overall induction character.
At the core of the system are Eventuri’s high-flow, non-woven mesh filters which provide substantially greater airflow compared to the restrictive factory paper elements. These filters are paired with precision-designed carbon fiber air scoops positioned directly behind the front grilles. The scoops channel a larger volume of ambient air into the intake ducts, effectively de-restricting the inlet path while helping maintain lower intake temperatures under load.
Completing the system is a prepreg carbon fiber airbox lid which replaces the factory plastic component. While the lid primarily enhances engine bay aesthetics, it also allows for a more pronounced and refined induction sound, adding a subtle but engaging acoustic layer to the S58 without compromising daily drivability.
Constructed from Eventuri’s signature prepreg carbon fiber, each component is manufactured with tightly controlled resin content for superior strength, reduced weight, and an exceptionally consistent finish. The system installs using laser-cut stainless steel brackets and integrates seamlessly with factory mounting locations for an OEM-level fit.
The result is an intake solution that preserves the intelligent foundation of BMW’s original design while unlocking additional airflow, improving temperature stability, and delivering the premium visual presence expected from an Eventuri carbon system. Independent testing recorded a measurable 0.2 second reduction in 60–130mph acceleration, reinforcing the performance capability of this carefully engineered upgrade.

Free shipping is available within the lower 48 states for most orders totaling $199 or more. A free shipping option will be available during checkout.
